Greg Campbell is the City Councillor in Ward 5 (Hillcrest-Platte River). He was first elected to office on November 3, 2014 and officially sworn in on November 17, 2014. He was reelected in 2018.

Councillor Campbell is a resident of Summerside, where he was born. He brings with him experience as a Councillor in the Town of Kensington, where he served as Chairman of the Water and Sewer Commission in the late 1990s.

He is an active senior and intends to ensure that the City remains a senior-friendly municipality. Greg has worked in the retail industry selling building supplies and is currently a licensed home inspector. He also worked as a trainer with the Construction Association of Prince Edward Island. His other training activities include providing training for youth at risk.

Over the last many years Campbell has organized and produced a series of conferences for dairy farmers throughout the Maritime Provinces. He has also organized industry conferences for potato farmers on PEI.

His volunteer activities include serving on the national board of a mental health organization as well as serving on the board of Holland College (from where he holds a business degree). He has organized charity golf tournaments for the Boys and Girls Club in Summerside as well as for the Family Place.

Greg has three daughters – a police officer in Fredericton, a teacher in Calgary, and a legal secretary in Summerside.

Campbell is excited by the opportunity to give back to the community in which he has lived most of his life.

“I have the time now to make a positive contribution to the City and I will do my best to represent the residents of Ward 5 now that I have been elected.”
