1) Customer Service Representative, Front Desk & Bowling Lanes (Part-time)

The City of Summerside is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team at our Credit Union Place to work as a Customer Service Representative in our Bowling Lanes, as well at our Front Desk/Box Office. Summerside’s bowling lanes offer five & ten pin bowling, cosmic bowling, music, and is a licensed lounge. The Front Desk is the hub of the building with membership processing, concert tickets to sell, questions to be answered and so much more!

 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must possess exceptional communication skills
  • Proven commitment to a high standard of work
  • Sales of memberships and event tickets
  • General office duties
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Organizing and Communicating a variety of information

To be considered for this position, candidates must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and weekdays; and possess excellent customer relation skills both in person and over the phone. First Aid & CPR are required, but training can be provided. To work in the bowling lanes you must be 19 years of age and will need to possess a Responsible Server Certificate.

2) Swim Instructor, 
Community Services Department

The City of Summerside’s Aquatics Department is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals for Swimming Lesson Instructors within the Community Services Department.

Applicants must be fun, outgoing and love working with kids and must have a valid Swim Instructor certificate and an updated Standard First Aid Certificate.

Full Time & Part-time Daytime Lifeguards, Community Services Department

The City of Summerside is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work as Lifeguard within the Community Services Department. Duties will include all aspects of supervising and maintaining the Aquatic Centre at Credit Union Place.

Current National Lifeguard Certificate, a valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate, and WHIMIS 2015 Education are a definite asset but training would also be provided to suitable candidates.

Lifeguards must be in good physical condition, be of good character, be able to do admin work, have good communications skills, and be courteous to the public.

If you are 15 years of age and have a Bronze Cross certificate (not need to be current) please contact Krista Shields (krista.shields@city.summerside.pe.ca) to discuss contract terms in receiving training.
