SUMMERSIDE, PE - Canada’s best 17U baseball players have come to Summerside for the 2026 Baseball Canada Cup, which begins on Wednesday, August 5 and runs through Sunday, August 9.
The Baseball Canada Cup consists of 33 games featuring representatives from all 10 provinces, including Prince Edward Island. The games will be played at Queen Elizabeth Park, with significant upgrades recently completed on both Legends Field and VIV Field.
First pitch is scheduled for 9:30 AM on Legends Field on Wednesday, August 5, when Ontario takes on Quebec.
“The continued confidence from Baseball Canada is a testament to Summerside’s growing stature as a leader in hosting national sporting events,” said Mayor Dan Kutcher. “These championships bring incredible energy to our community while delivering meaningful economic impact. We look forward to welcoming athletes, families, coaches, and fans from across the country to experience all that Summerside has to offer.”
Team Prince Edward Island is coached by Desi Doyle, and features Summerside natives Griffen Campbell, Ashton Desroches, Ben Connolly and Liam MacDonald.
“After over a year of planning, it’s exciting to finally welcome the top 17U baseball players from across Canada to Summerside,” said Tanner Doiron, Chairman of the Baseball Canada Cup Host Organizing Committee. “This tournament is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our community, our volunteers, and our passion for hosting national sporting events. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to the newly renovated Queen Elizabeth Park for what promises to be an outstanding week of baseball.”

- Wednesday, August 5 - PEI vs New Brunswick - 7:30 PM - Legends Field
- Thursday, August 6 - PEI vs Newfoundland & Labrador - 12:30 PM - Legends Field
- Thursday, August 6 - PEI vs Nova Scotia - 7:00 PM - Legends Field
- Friday, August 7 - PEI vs Alberta - 7:00 PM - Legends Field
Individual and tournament passes may be purchased at creditunionplace.ca, as well as at the box office at Queen Elizabeth Park.
