SUMMERSIDE, PE - The City of Summerside is proud to announce that Killdare Fisheries has been named the title sponsor of three (3) Baseball Canada National Championships set place in the City by the Sea over the next two years.
The recent partnership signed with Kildare Fisheries will see their brand be a prominent supporter of the prestigious 2025 and 2026 Ray Carter Cup (15U) along with the 2026 Baseball Canada Cup (17U). This agreement highlights Kildare Fisheries’ longstanding tradition of commitment to community and sport.
“This is an incredible honor for our city and a testament to our commitment to hosting world-class events,” said Mayor Dan Kutcher. “With the support of Kildare Fisheries as title sponsor, the Ray Carter Cups and Canada Cup will not only bring top-tier baseball to Summerside but also provide a significant boost to our local economy and community pride."
In year two, the partnership will see something new to Summerside in its over 50-years of event hosting history, playing host to two Baseball Canada National Championships in the same summer with the Ray Carter Cup and Canada Cup both being held in August of 2026. Together, these events will bring outstanding baseball talent to Prince Edward Island, highlighting the future stars of Canadian baseball.

The Baseball Canada Ray Carter Cup and Canada Cup presented by Killdare Fisheries are expected to attract thousands of athletes, families, and fans to Summerside, providing a significant economic impact for local businesses and tourism. These events are both part of key pathways to Canada’s Junior National Baseball Team and the World Junior Baseball Championship. With both tournaments expected to bring in scouts across the country to Queen Elizabeth Park, it promised to be an unforgettable experience of athleticism and sportsmanship for participants and spectators alike.
