Summerside Toyota Announced as Title Sponsor For Noah Dobson's HockeyFest 2025
Posted on 05/20/2025

SUMMERSIDE, PE The City of Summerside and the organizing team behind Noah Dobson’s HockeyFest are proud to announce Summerside Toyota as the Title Sponsor of the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the event, set to take place June 20–22 on the grounds of Credit Union Place.

This year marks the third annual Noah Dobson’s HockeyFest and the fourth overall HockeyFest in Summerside. With deep local roots and NHL star power, the rebranded Noah Dobson’s HockeyFest has quickly become the largest of its kind in North America. In 2024, the event drew 102 teams, saw nine rinks in operation, and raised $20,000 for Community Connections Inc. —doubling the previous year’s fundraising total.

Thanks to the ongoing support of community organizations and corporate partners like Summerside Toyota, the goal for 2025 is to register 125 teams, making this year’s event the biggest yet.

“We’re incredibly proud to support an event that brings our community together in such a fun, meaningful, and inclusive way,” said Craig Passmore, General Manager of Summerside Toyota. “Noah Dobson’s HockeyFest not only highlights our hometown pride, but it also raises critical funds to support adults with intellectual disabilities right here in Summerside. It’s a perfect fit for us.”

Noah Dobson’s HockeyFest is operated by the Sport Entertainment Tourism Summerside (SETS) division in partnership with Community Connections Inc., which supports over 150 clients with intellectual disabilities. Proceeds from the event help fund essential services, including upgrades to the organization’s sensory room, accessible transportation, communication tools, and wellness equipment.

“This event has grown beyond what we imagined in just a few years,” said John Smallwood, Executive Director of Community Connections Inc. “To see our community come together, led by Noah Dobson and supported by strong partners like Summerside Toyota, is truly inspiring. Every dollar raised directly supports local individuals and helps enhance their quality of life.”

Mayor Dan Kutcher echoed the excitement: “HockeyFest has become one of the signature events of our city. With the leadership of Noah Dobson and partners like Summerside Toyota stepping up, we are not only building something special—we’re doing it in a way that reflects the spirit and heart of Summerside.”
